win Peaks inc was contracted by Skanska USA Buildings, Incorporated to provide our services on the project to convert 5 acres of warehouses, storage, and parking lots on Pier 2 into part of the largest park of what is planned to be the largest park to open in Brooklyn in nearly 150 years. The project required TPI to inspect and test earthwork, sitework, marine and landscape components and procedures involved in the construction of this section of the park.

This is one of several projects TPI has performed work on that are part of New York City’s ongoing program to develop the city’s waterfront properties for the recreation and enrichment of the public Pier 2 is fully open and operational. It is dedicated to recreation and features handball basketball, bocce courts, shuffleboard, a roller rink, and a fitness center. Inspection and tests performed for this project include excavation, soil testing, asphalt and concrete sampling, testing, and plant inspections (including marine and architectural concrete), as well as inspections of rebar, cast-in-place, and pre-cast concrete
