Staff Accountant – LIC – NY Office

Twin Peaks, Inc. is continuing to grow its Accounting department and is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join our NYC – LIC team. The Staff Accountant will be working with the accounting team to bill and invoice clients.

Job Description:

Create accurate client invoices in compliance with contract terms and the accounting schedule
Assist the accounting manager and project managers regarding project financial status
Ensure all project accounting files are appropriately filed and have the required backup documentation
Work closely with and collaborate with the project managers to resolve outstanding invoicing issues
Assist with certified payrolls and payment forms for customers
Perform Accounts Payable functions; payable procedures may include reviewing and assisting in processing Accounts Payable transactions
Track and post entries in QuickBooks for expenses related to seminars and conferences, for both in-house and external events
Assist with the approval of employee expenses
Assist with payroll processing
Communicate through telephone, e-mail, and face-to-face in a personable and professional manner
Compile and prepare information requested by management, or company’s CPA
Ability to properly manage sensitive and confidential information and work with various departments
Interface with colleagues and external parties to fulfill job duties and responsibilities
Work cooperatively with diverse teams

Qualifications:

4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Minimum of 4 years Accounting experience
Highly proficient with MS Office applications and Quickbooks
Must be self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well independently and as part of a team
Quicken experience and accounting experience in an A/E/C industry is a plus
