EIT-Certified Civil Field Engineers

Twin Peaks Inc is currently seeking to hire a EIT-Certified Civil Field Engineers to join our team on a full-time basis to work on various building and infrastructure projects throughout the NYC area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The basic function of this position includes traveling to various project sites daily and using applicable field-testing procedures and testing equipment to perform required field and building inspections and testing.

Qualifications:

BS Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or another relevant engineering field.
Registered EIT in New York State is required; related certifications are a plus.
Must have OSHA-10, OSHA – 30 is plus.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge or ability to learn the fundamentals of building inspection codes and requirements in order to carry out testing, including, but not limited to, Building Codes, ASTM Standards, and TMS standards.
A valid, clean driver’s license and personal vehicle to travel to and transport testing equipment to various project sites primarily throughout the New York City.

Candidate must be able to;

Handle, inspect, and/or complete documents, handle materials and/or equipment relevant to the testing / inspection job.
Move around on the jobsite, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning oneself appropriately to access necessary testing materials and equipment, usually for prolonged periods of time,
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. for some types of monitoring and inspections,
Good visual skills, including focused depth perception.
